A 45-year-old man was killed by the roller coaster after going into the ride's restricted area to retrieve a dropped cellphone. He was struck in the back of the head by a passing train. Park emergency crews attempted to revive him, but was soon pronounced dead on scene. The ride was shut down after the incident and reopened the following day after passing inspections.
