Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The next day, U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt asked the U.S. Congress for a declaration of war against Japan. Congress acted quickly.

This is Globalism/Nationalist because the main reason why the USA attacked Japan is that it was being attacked by Japan. The US would have never entered the war if Japan never attacked.

Hard-power because the president is basically fighting fire with fire. In other words, he is attacking back because they attacked America.
