1 Jan 1904 Jahr - Hantaro Nagaoka proposed a model for the atom, he proposed to make it look like Saturn's ring. It was shown to look like a nucleus for Saturn and electrons around as the ring. When looking at the valence shells, we see the nucleus in the middle which would be shown as Saturn, and the electrons around the nucleus full of protons and neutrons was like Saturn's ring.
