After delivering up the Judgment Seat, Nephi devoted himself to the ministry. He was joined by his brother, Lehi, and the two began to travel throughout the lands of the Nephites, preaching the word.

This mission began in the land of Bountiful, which seems to have become the new capital after the loss of Zarahemla. They next traveled to Gid, than Mulek, and eventually to all the lands that the Nephites controlled in the south. However, we are given no details as to the success of their preaching in these lands.
