After the war lincoln decided to attend a play called Our American Cousin. When he was watching the play a man named John Wilkes Booth came out of nowhere and shot him. Lincoln died 9 hours later, there was a man hunt for the man who shot lincoln he was found and killed later. The people that helped him were later hung to there deaths.
