The sun which is at the center of our solar system is considered to be a star. The sun is mostly made of what other stars are made of which is hydrogen and helium which causes the reaction of the sun to be a burning sphere over 1000 degrees. Also the period of rotation on the sun is 24.47 days. The Sun's orbit around the center of the Milky Way once every 225 million years so that is the Sun’s period of revolution.
