Due to Britain's no-trade policies, the impressment American merchants, and Britain encouraging Native Americans to attack US settlers, America went into a 3 year long war with Britain. The Battle of New Orleans greatly impacted the outcome of this war. This battle was won by America and lead to the Treaty of Ghent.
