Disintegrative shaming: does not work because this shaming stigmatizes the offender as beyond rehabilitation and creates outcasts who are more likely to commit a crime again because they have no support system.
Reintegrative shaming: is more effective because it allows criminals the chance to reintegrate into society after they have been punished.
