22 März 66 Jahr v. Chr. - Lamanites Move West

Beschreibung:

In the initial invasion the Lamanites had moved up the east coast of the Nephites. Two things happened to alter this.
First, Teancum stopped them at bountiful and killed Amalikiah. This stopped their progress in the east.
Second, Moroni successfully put down the kingmen's rebellion. Thus Moroni was now able to lead additional men into the eastern lands against the Lamanites.

So, Ammoron thought that he would divide the armies of the Nephites by diverting some of his forces into the western lands. He could do this without weakening his forces in the east as the Lamanites had always been more numerous than the Nephites.

In this move they were successful. They drew Moroni away from the east for a time, divided the armies of the Nephites, and succeeded in talking many cities.
