The extremely popular invention of the Model T car was created in Fords Piquette Avenue plant in Detroit. This car was was first sold for $850 and later sold for a price of $300 making it very affordable for people later on. About 15 million Model Ts were produced marking it as the longest production run of any automobile model in history up until the Volkswagen Beetle. Because of the high demand, the model T was famous for it’s efficient production by assembly lines creating the process we still use today known as Fordism. Ordinary people could drive it and it could go as fast as 40 miles per hour running on gasoline. This sparked the huge expansion of the use of a car for every day travel and transportation. Although it has been innovated thousands of times, the car continues to be one of the easiest and most used way of transportation.
