Shopkeepers and vendors claimed on Wednesday that they incurred losses as customers carrying high denomination notes had to be turned away on a day when the city was hit by a shortage of Rs 100 and Rs 50 notes following the scrapping of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes.
