Virginia wolf was one of the important members of the Bloomsbury Group - a group of writers, artist, and intellectuals in London in the early 20th century. Some of her best-known books are "Mrs. Dalloway", "To the Lighthouse" and "Orlando".
In her novels she developed a style of writing called "stream of consciousness" where she describes life moment by moment, focusing more on inner life than on events. In "A Room of One's Own" she deals with the situation of women writers.
