Alma and Amulek were kept in prison for many days, and each day the judges and other city leaders would come to them and smite them and mock them.
Alma and Amulek endured this for some time. However, on the 12th day of the 10th month and the 10th year of the judges, when all the city leaders had come to mock them together, Alma cried unto the Lord for deliverance.

At the cry of Alma the prison walls collapsed and all the leaders of the city were killed. Alma and Amulek walked out unharmed.

They went over to Sidom where they found the men of Ammonihah that had been driven out. Among them was Zeezrom, who they later healed from a deathly fever.
