1 Jan 1957 Jahr - Plate reverb was invented

In 1957, a company called EMT (Elektromesstechnik), invented a means of adding reverb onto a sound using a plate.
Plate reverb works by sending sound through to a speaker bolted to a sheet of metal on one end, and the picked up using a transducer on the other end.
