despite kicking out at grounded Celtic player Ajer
in what most thought was a clear case of violent
conduct off the ball. His Manager Steven Gerrard
had previously conceded he was lucky it wasn't
seen and would talk to him after the game about
it.

Three former match officials were consulted but did not reach a unanimous agreement to take the matter forward.
All three of the ex-category one referees must arrive at the same decision for a notice to be raised.
