Before going to work I decided to eat dinner at the mall. My go to place in Masonville mall is Manchu Wok. Through cultural globalization I am able to enjoy a Chinese meal inspired by their culture. Trying new food from different countries always interests me, it makes me feel very lucky that globalization has allowed me to try different foods that many places in the world don’t have access to. When asked by my cousins in Sudan what my favourite food was and I replied with Chinese food, they all looked at me like I had a third head. Although there is Chinese food there, globalization has not impacted the country the way the western world is affected. It just goes to show how important the spread of cultures are regardless of whether they become westernized, the introduction and understanding of cultures allows us to understand and better appreciate these cultures around the world.
