As I eat my lunch and drink my coffee, I scroll through the news for the day. Due to globalization through the internet, I have access to a wide range of news sources, not just local or national options. For instance, not only can I read CTV News and CBC News, I have access to American news sites such as CNN. This give me much more choice, and often times I may chose content from the U.S. I also have access to a number of niche news sites out of the U.S. such as The Verge, which creates technology related content. Globalization allows me to easily and effortlessly consume content produced in other countries around the world. The factor demonstrated here is cultural/societal (that is, giving consumers more choice)
