Beschreibung:
This is a non-fiction and first-hand account of Japanese brutality during WWII. This is a story of a woman who helped her husband, a doctor, provide medical aid to the injured troops of MPAJA (Malayan People’s Anti-Japanese Army) during the occupation, and was later tortured for it. It is a narrative that contains authenticity without exaggerating and its perspective is unique because it belongs to a pro-British Eurasian woman (Patke & Holden, 2010).
