What: Prevented Mildred Gordon from living there and she sued on the grounds that they cancelled her officially signed lease, thereby breaking a contract. Won the case. After, UW-Madison became the 2nd University with a HIllred foundation (puts aside Jewish conflicts to fight against anti-semitism) .

(Happening around the same time that Reconstructionist Judaism was beginning, Mildred Gordon decides to indirectly fight against discrimination by completely legal matters. Apparently it didn't only benefit her but other minorities...specifically Jews...on campus.)
