What: One of the first to bring nationalism to the U.S. Claimed that Jewish nationalism and socialism can exist. Wanted a Yiddish speaking minority which he believed was the instrument to a national revival.

(He made a lot of claims which were kinda shitty because he thought that you can be loyal to a Jewish nation while being socialist which just doesn't make sense because socialism doesn't have individualism and nationals believed in individuality between nations.)
