State of Tennessee v. John Thomas, an American legal case in which is high school teacher was accused of violating the Butler Act of Tennessee which made it unlawful to teach evolution. Supreme court overturned Scopes' conviction and was then made one of the last great cases of the lawyer Darrow's career.
