The CCP was founded in 1921 based on Marxist-Leninist ideas by Li Dazhao and Chen Duxiu . The party relies on control of personnel, propaganda, and the People’s Liberation Army. They gained popularity in the countryside and formed a seperate republic and eventually started a civil war in 1949.
