- 708 children aged between 4 & 11 years
- separately measured working and short-term memory for both verbal and visuospatial tasks
- working memory tasks contained both a processing and a storage component while short-term memory tasks were just storage & repetition
- 12 tasks (3 stm/wm for both verbal & visuospatial)
- Used CFA to determine which of 4 hypotheses was best [4 models]
