Under the 18th dynasty Egypt was finally reunited, and began military campaigns in which they reconquered Nubia and invaded Palestine. The Egypt empire gained land from Nubia to the Euphrates River and became considered as one of the first Great Empires. They however began to lose power and money as they lost their provinces in Libya and Palestine, then continued on to be invaded by the Libyans.
