1 Mai 1975 Jahr - Sudden Change: Awareness Brought to the Costs of the Vietnam War
Beschreibung:
Attention was brought to the public's view that the Government spent 141 Billion USD in Vietnam in 14 years, all while trying to make sure that taxes for the people stayed steady. So, as a result, cuts to different divisions had to happen. One of the first places that received cuts was the VA in efforts to fund military resources. But in effect, the funding for Veterans started to shrink. This shows how the government had little regard for the veterans with pre-existing conditions and the soldiers coming home with mental and physical injuries.
