Was discovered in 1973 by Ruth Bishop from the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne. Rotavirus got its name from its round shape. It is found in infected feces, and body fluids of humans. Symptoms included --> severe watery diarrhea, vomiting, fever, abdominal pain and its way of transmission: fecal-oral route.
