Abraham commanded to sacrifice Isaac, though later stopped by the Lord.

The actual date is unknown, though the Bible tells us it occurred before the death of Sarah. Some traditions place it at the same time as her death (when he was 37), and others much earlier. Here I place it when he was 33, as the story is a type of Christ, who was 33 when He was sacrificed on the cross.
