12 St. 4 Min, 4 März 1825 Jahr - John Quincy Adams sworn into office
Beschreibung:
John Quincy Adams was also a Republican and continued their long line of dominance over the presidency. In the election, Adams failed to reach the majority of electoral votes, but neither did his opposition, Andrew Jackson and William Crawford. The decision ultimately went to the House, where Adams was chosen as president. As president, Adams oversaw the creation of highways and canals that connected the nation, along with the establishment of national universities.
