Ever since the start of the 70's, America started to pull troops from Vietnam. In 1972, even though the American forces were starting to leave, the South Vietnamese army took charge. They eventually prevailed with the help of the US Air force. After extensive bombing and lots of negotiations, North Vietnam signed a treaty. In April 30, 1975, the Vietnam war finally ended.
