A telephone, or phone, is a telecommunications device that permits two or more users to conduct a conversation when they are too far apart to be heard directly.

☞ Before, the only way for me to communicate with my family or friends when we are far apart is to use the telephone. It was the time when I still don’t have a cellular phone.
