In 1942 the Canadian government gained control of a uranium mine, in Great Bear Lake. A team of English scientists came to Canada to study it. Canada had no involvement in the creation of the atomic bombs, but the research done could and probably did give them a better understanding of uranium. It is also not known if any Canadian uranium was used in the creation of the two atomic bombs, and it would be nearly impossible to determine if it was.
