Dunning the 1972 Olympics in Munich, Germany on September 5, well into the Olympics a group of Palestinian terrorists stormed the Israeli apartments and killed two athletics and took nine hostage. The terrorists said they would release the athletics if the Israeli government would release 230 Arab criminals and two German terrorists. The Palestinian terrorists took the nine hostages to the Munich airport. After a intense shoot out with the German police five terrorists were killed along with all the Israeli hostages and one German police officer. The Olympics were postponed for 24 hours in honor of the 12 Israeli athletes and the Policeman killed.
