Biologists wanting to get a clearer picture of how the snouts of dinosaurs mutated into beaks, created chicken embryos with snouts like that of a dinosaur. By distinguishing which proteins were utilized to cause this difference in phonetic expression, this allowed them to modify the chicken genomes to express this dinosaur-like snout. Unfortunately, they could not allow the eggs to be hatched as it was not a part of their approved research protocols. Potentially, this leads the door open to what else could be genetically modified by specifying which proteins were responsible for what genetic expression.
