Emancipation after a 2nd campaign. 2 different ideas:
- Slave would not know what to do with their freedom, have to be educated to use this freedom the best way as possible
slaves = inferior to British people.
fear of Slavery riots

- Everybody agreed the fact slavery was not necessary
