Beschreibung:
Cleonides, a follower of Pythagoras, noted that fifths, fourths, and octaves were subdivided into tones and semi-tones in a specific number of ways, which he then called species. Essentially, he determined what half and whole steps were, and how different numbers of them created specific intervals.
