Beschreibung:

- Alexander defeats Persian Army under Darius lll
- Issus is a plain on the coast of the gulf of Iskenderun in modern day Turkey
- Macedonian Soldiers were arranged in a Phalanx, with Cavalry on the sides
- Before the Battle Darius tortured and killed many recovering Macedonian soldiers which gave Alexanders army even more of an incentive
- The Macedonian's quickly cut down Darius' left flank then attacked their main lines
-In the confusion Darius escaped but his family was captured
