In 1536, Calvin visited Geneva, he was persuaded to stay to turn the city Protestant. His ideas were unpopular and he left. Then, lived in Stratsbourg for 3yrs. In 1541, invited back to Geneva, took control of a city w/13,000 people
Geneva became known as the city of God. Led to the spread of protestsant religion and was a major turning point
