Zachs' dad, who used to play minor league baseball, is able to hook Zach and Joey up with private hitting lessons from his old coach so that they will do better during the all star Tournament. Throughout the lesson, he gives them small pointers that make their already good swings even better. At this point it seems like they are going to do awesome during the Tournament, until the coach points out that Zach has a fatal flaw in his swing: he can't hit an inside pitch. The coach assures them that it's no big deal and that he'll be able to fix it in no time. Even so, Zach is really worried about it so him and Joey agree to keep it a secret so that nobody will take advantage of him.
