12 Nov 1911 Jahr - Ernest Rutherford and the Rutherford Model
Beschreibung:
Rutherford was a chemist and a physicist who impacted the ideas of atomic structure incredibly with his discovery of the nucleus and his proposed model. he completely tossed over Thomson's plum-pudding model in 1911 with his gold-foil experiment. In this experiment Rutherford discovered the nucleus as a very tiny, densely charged center and concluded that atoms are mostly composed of empty space due to his experimental results. He later won Nobel prize in Chemistry, being awarded for his atomic structure theory.
