John Dalton, and early 1800 English scientist created the Atomic Theory that all elements are composed of atoms, and that these atoms are invisible and indestructible. He believed that atoms of the same element are exactly alike while those of different elements are different. He also believed that a compound was formed when one or more elements are joined together.
