1 Jan 1824 Jahr - National Republican Party
Beschreibung:
The Democratic-Republican Party split into several sects. Two of these were the Adams men (supporting John Quincy Adams) and the Clay men (supporting Henry Clay). These groups realized that they stood for a lot of the same things, including building up the country's resources, especially our defense after the war of 1812. The Adams and Clay men began to act together and called themselves the National Republican Party.
