7 Sept 1927 Jahr - First Electronic Television
Beschreibung:
On the 7th September 1927 the first successful electronic television was demonstrated in San Francisco. It was invented by a 21 year old man named Philo Taylor Farnsworth. While in high school Farnsworth had begun to come up with a system that could capture moving images in a form that could be coded onto radio waves and then transformed back into a picture on a screen.
Although this was not the first television, as previously John Logie Baird had invented the first mechanical television, Farnsworth's invention scanned images with a beam of electrons became a direct ancestor of modern television.
The first image transmitted was a dollar sign. Farnsworth cleverly did this as one investor asked "When are we going to see some dollar in this thing Farnsworth?"
In my opinion this was a very important invention as mean't that people could watch television easier and led the way for future development of TVs.
