The Pax Romana, or Roman Peace, was a period of stability during the Roman empire. It was a golden age for Rome, and many advancements were made during this time, especially in transportation, the road systems were improved on and the Mediterranean was cleared mostly of pirates. It lasted from the reign of Augustus Caesar through the death of Marcus Aurelius.
