In 2009, the Montreal Canadiens turned 100 years old, The first team to do so in NHL history. The hockey Club Celebrated by using a variety of classic jerseys throughout their history, a centennial game between the Montreal Canadiens alumni and the current Montreal Canadiens, a limited addition Loonie, and much more. The first game they played as an 100 year old club would be against the Boston Bruins.
