By the end of July 1945, the Imperial Japanese Navy was incapable of conducting major operations and an Allied invasion of Japan was imminent. Together with the British and Chinese, the United States call for the unconditional surrender of the Japanese armed forces, with the only alternative being "prompt and utter destruction”. Therefore, for the last time, they tell Japan to surrender in order to create a peace treaty. In addition, Winston Churchill, Harry Truman and Iósif Stalin gather to decide how they administer Germany.
