11 Mai 1945 Jahr - Japanese locations for the atomic bombs

Beschreibung:

The bomb was originally envisioned as a way to force the Axis leader, Nazi Germany, to cease fighting since in 1943, President Franklin Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill insisted on the unconditional surrender of Axis aggressors. But the Third Reich had already collapsed by July 1945 when the bomb was ready for use. The war against Japan in the Pacific, however, continued to rage. Therefore, on this date, Robert Oppenheimer (member of the Los Alamos National Laboratory), along with other people, decide the new possible locations on which they are going to throw the nuclear bombs. They come to the conclusion that the best ones are Kyoto, Hiroshima, Yokohama and Kokura, all Japanese cities.
