The 2016 NHL draft was held at theKeyBank Center, in Buffalo, New York. Matthews was taken 1st overall by the Leafs. Though only 21, Matthews is considered one of the best players in the entire NHL. He scored 4 goals in his first NHL game (a record) and recorded 40+ goals in his rookie season
