Hurricane Katrina was a catastrophic category five hurricane that created damage across central Florida to eastern Texas. This hurricane left many people homeless because of the massive number of housing units it destroyed. This hurricane brought light to the weak infrastructure of the United States and caused people to consider things like solar energy and other alternative resources in times where natural disasters like Katrina occur.
