The British had news that there was a secret store of ammunition and gunpowder in Concord. Triumphant, the Massachusetts government(which was still controlled by Britain) ordered 700 of their best soldiers to go and swipe it from the colonists. When Paul Revere found out, he was alarmed and sent out on his horse shouting,"The Redcoats are coming!" when he was riding. At Concord, the British soldiers were met by an army of minutemen. The British and the colonists fought,and the British soldiers ran away! The British lost more people than the colonists and this showed how the colonists had a will to win.
