The Northwest Passage is important because it’s a sea route that connects The Atlantic and The pacific Oceans through the Canadian Arctic Archipelago. The first person to look for The Northwest Passage was John Cabot in 1497. His experiences were scary. He faced violent storms, violent winds, and food and water shortages. He mysteriously disappeared.
